About Montrell Bond
Highly motivated candidate
Being a product of a third-generation military family Montrell Bond has always been emerged and cultivated in an environment of service and leadership from a young age. Montrell also ascended from a generation of nurses who dedicated their lives to public service. Montrell persevered his way through nursing school where he earned his Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree. Motivated to leave his own legacy in industry of service Montrell believes he is called to action for the community of Columbia Heights. With established and Deep-rooted ties in the country Montrell has a remarkable value for the concept and spirit of community. As a resident of Columbia Heights Montrell is committed and dedicated to securing the future, economic growth, and Spirit of Columbia Heights.

- Decreasing / Capping Property Taxes
Many of the resident of the city of Columbia Heights and I have collectively been concerned with the recent 14.2% increase in property taxes for 2024. Post the covid pandemic small communities and towns across the country continue to face the day-to-day challenges of economic uncertainty due to multifactorial reasons some being a direct result of poor city planning. I will plan and organize to be sure that the community our kids and grandchildren thrive and experience economic prosperity.
- Public & First Responders Safety
As a first responder and advocate for public safety with the ongoing increase of the city's population and of the population of our surrounding neighbor cities times demand that the public safety sector deserves community centered and evidence-based practice systems that serves to protect the safety and security of our community.
- Economic Equity for all residents
Columbia Heights is made up of all kinds of wonderful people from all walks of life with all kinds of cultural beliefs. Working with the multicultural community and supporting the expansion of multicultural economic equity mandates an innovative holistic approach to bridge the cultural and generational gaps of our community.
